The University's Short-Term Disability Plan is available to University of 亚洲影院 System benefit-eligible staff and certain non-regular academic positions to provide replacement income in the event an eligible employee experiences a qualified medical disability. It is not available to faculty or retirees.

Short-Term Disability is available to regular benefit-eligible administrative, service and support positions and certain non-regular academic employees as approved by the chancellor and president.

- The Base Plan is 100% paid by the University.
- The monthly premium for active employees is $0.
- Covers up to 60% of eligible Annual Base Benefit Rate (ABBR) in the event of a qualified medical disability.

- Enroll without a Statement of Health within 31 days of hire or eligibility.
- Statement of Health is required to enroll during Annual Enrollment, with coverage effective Jan. 1, or upon approval if after Jan. 1.
- Benefit changes apply only to disabilities that begin on or after the effective date of change.
- Statement of Health does not guarantee coverage; prior medical conditions may disqualify coverage increase.

If you elect or increase life or disability coverage you may be required to submit a Statement of Health form for evidence of insurability. The Statement of Health form is only available online for a limited period of time? after your application for coverage. Please complete it as soon as possible.
